Made the most of an extra day off yesterday by going to Canterbury for a pirate themed escape room. We did the park-and-ride at Wincheap and walked their via Dunelm Mill. We solved the escape room well inside our allotted hour, seven minutes to spare, and we didn't need any clues. It was another really good one with hidden rooms appearing when we solved Crystal Maze style challenges.
After we walked into Canterbury centre, but had decided not switch plans and not go to a restaurant. We got some new trousers for T1 as he's outgrowing his clothes on a weekly basis, and I bought a Menswear vinyl. Looking like I paid over the odds for it but it seemed like a deal and I'm pleased with it. Then to Veg Box Cafe just for coffee and snacks, then back to the car.
We dropped our small bits of shopping home and drove into Folkestone aiming to sit and play cardgames in a pub garden and then go for dinner. We went to The Pullman (Febrewery #181 as a bonus) and while their garden is good and huge it wasn't quite warm enough. They were happy to have us all inside. Original plan was just to have a half and leave the car, but then we had another and decided to pick the car up the next day.
After The Pullman to a lovely dinner at Luben, and then a taxi home.
I'm up early today, woken by a strange dream about being late for work by missing a train because I had to go and get my things out of a locker? I'm sure I have another day off and I would not even be late for work today if I did not. I do have a train to get, and we have to go and fetch the car before that. Planning to run to get it.
Febrewery so far:
I think I could do ten pubs2 over the rest of this long weekend off...
