Curious continuation of Febrewery. First, very busy day at work. Two incidents took up my whole day. An incident is not a good thing. First was something I had caused, months ago, just got spotted, I failed to transfer over one bit of info from one system to another as I thought it was unused. Seems it should not be used, but it is in one place, and not very often. I fixed it and all good again. Then when I'd wrapped that up an alert I had created spotted that a thing had happened - the thing not caused by me this time, I just spotted it, and so I got dragged into that. I was able to help and get that fixed so I hope that cancels out the first one. As a result I did not get to the pub as early as I'd hoped. Still Febrewery back on track!
Day three and the third pub was The Clarendon. Met some friends in there and had good beer and chat. I had a Wife Of Bath by Canterbury Ales, and Box Of Frogs by someone else, I don't know. It's hoppy, see? Next go get some food, and find another pub, thought about walking to Hythe but instead went further into Sandgate to the chip shop. Walked past the Inn Doors and it was open and full! What is going on? Got chips and walked back there, only to be not allowed in. It's not open after all it's a private party. Odd one, it was all the usual regulars at the party. My invite must have got lost in the post. I was very disappointed by this, crushed in fact. Instead we went to The Ship, so that's pub number four. Had more beer, and there was live music in there. It was not busy enough though, odd one. We stayed until closing.
My Febrewery list so far:
This morning I did not run but volunteered at Parkrun, doing the barcode scanning. That went well but it was a bit cold. Nice to speak to so many runners.
Today we're off to Canterbury, first lunch in Pizza Express with 20% off by buying a gift card1, nice. Then they go to the cinema and I find another pub or two.
