It's a lot of fun, and it probably won't let you down with a flat battery in Tesco car park in the rain.

Work reasonably productive in London today. I parked in my new spot this side of the station, for free, and in plenty of time for the train. Didn't sleep well at all last night for some reason so I was awake before the alarm went off, and seemed to have plenty of time. Train was busy, I was sat on a table with three other people which does not usually happen on the commuter service.

Lunchtime I ran a new route, just a bit further than last time. Down over Blackfriars bridge, along past Waterloo and over Waterloo bridge, then back along The Strand and Fleet Street and back to work. 6km, and Runuary day twenty-six done.

When I finally got in from Tesco (Clare had to come out and jump start me) I brought in a reduced lasagne, which needs going in the oven, so I'm really late eating. I should have got the other pasta that just goes in the microwave.

We tried to watch The Hardy Boys on TV, Clare and I are really enjoying it, slightly more than the boys are. It would not play though so they're watching even more Modern Family while I'm waiting for my lasagne and writing this. T1 just had a crazy meltdown that I would not lit him sit on the sofa with an ice lolly.

Have made plans to drive to The Red Lion in Snargate tomorrow, so my friends can enjoy some excellent beer at a rarely visited hard to get to rural pub. I'm such a hero. I actually meant the Black Lion in Appledore, but I might have been outvoted. I'm sure it's not as good as the Red Lion (aka Doris's) but we have been to the Red Lion and not the Black Lion. Might try and fit in both. Even though I'm not drinking. Did I say what a hero I am?

Strangely nothing in my gigography for today, when for many years I was at the NME Brats shows at this time of year.

5k: Five kilometres, just over three miles to you.

runuary: Running at least 5k every day for the month of January.
