Blog2022 ≫ Belated merry christmas

I hope you had a nice christmas. Our christmas day was different but good. I did go to the Inn Doors for a bit on christmas eve, then we had a fairly early start opening presents. T2 was first up but not until about 7:10, then he woke T1 and they came into us. Everyone was pleased with all their things. T1 was surprised with his iphone, a higher spec than he was expecting. T2 was itching to do his lego from the second he opened it.

Very relaxed morning as no christmas dinner to be cooked. We were due at Hythe Imperial for our dinner at 14:30 and nothing to do until then. I was sceptical1 about having dinner out, but when we got there I was put at ease. All veyr nice, plenty busy enough but not overcrowded. A glass of champagne on the way in, proper champagne at that. Some bread and a gazpacho shot amuse bouche, and then some soup as a starter. Everyone else had the turkey roast traditional dinner and their plates were piled high. I had tagine, and mine looked very mean by comparison but it was tasty. My desert was gooseberry fool. There were gifts on the table for they boys, selection boxes and teddy bears in Hythe Imperial jumpers, and there were huge wooden light up table decorations that were for us to take home too. All very nice. Nicest of all, Clare paid for it. They boys left the teddies there, they didn't really want them and thought the hotel could reuse them.

When we got back I joked what programme would I fall asleep in front of later? We watched Ghosts, and then I fell asleep half way through Wednesday.

Lunch today was round Clare's bro's girlfriend's house and it was very nice. They have a tradition of turkey in breadcrumbs, mash, and sprouts. They made me a vegan version.

Unfortunately T1's iphone has to be returned, the charger connection is not quite right. Hope there is no problem getting that replaced.
