Blog2022 ≫ We have sickness in the house again

Not now pharyngitis!

T1 has this thing that is going around. His cousin was off with it all last week. It's a hacking cough and a sore throat. A day off school playing video games seems to have done him the world of good, but it could also be the paracetamol. Hoping he doesn't spread it round the rest of us. Oh, and that he recovers happily from it.

Spoken to friends and either they or their kids all have it too.

Hella busy at work too, so much for some sort of pre-christmas slow down. There is meant to be a code freeze on, we are making more changes than ever.

Another work thing, we normally have a 15% discount over pay day weekend. This pay day weekend it will not apply as it's pushed back to the Monday... when it becomes a TWENTY PERCENT discount. I must stock up on tinned goods. Even though all prices have gone mental and even with 20% off now prices on things are so much higher. Not just the inflationary prices that are affecting everyone, but the micro-seasonal changes might mean the 20% is not such a deal. I bought a load of Quality Street a few weeks ago when they were £3.50 for a tub. Yesterday they were back up to £5. There's a 25% off six bottles of wine this week, if that is gone next week then my discount there is also wiped out. I think I will focus on tins of beans, try and find some actual deals and pile the trolley high.

I have a sore throat now.

Ho ho ho merry christmas everyone...
