The Darkness tweny-one years ago this very day. This was a small gig, just before they made it big but with a bit of a buzz around them. I sort of planned to go, I said here on popex at the time that I was probably going. I remember we nearly didn't get in but must have bumped into their manager on the day who got us in. Properly West London, not too many things going on out there. The gig was THREE QUID to get in, remember when gigs were less than a billion pounds for a ticket?
I am going out to West London though, starting to firm up plans for two weeks time. We have an AirBnB in South Kensington (West-ish) and we have an activity booked even further West. I won't put the details here in case any of it is meant to be a surprise. And also in less than one week's time we will be going to Battersea Power Station, that is also West isn't it? We are ice skating there on Saturday. So much going on right now, proper busy in the lead up to Christmas.
I have actually got a couple of things sorted for Christmas now, bought a few small bits for Clare. No idea of a proper present. I got T1's present today from us, and ordered T2's yesterday so that's the main bit.
Work very busy as ever. I had one annoying task that I couldn't sort today. Just trying to do a redirect from an old website to a new one, so as to migrate the traffic a bit at a time. Just to make this simple change I need all the tests to be passing on the old website, and they are not. Hopefully it will all come together in the morning.
