Blog2022 ≫ Up the workers

I'm going up to London soon with friends, and there's another rail strike, so I'm back on the coach again. A 5:35 coach this time, surely that's even earlier than before? I've booked the coach back the next day, a non flexible ticket so it's only a tenner each way. Not much point in booking fully flexible for twice the price as all the other coaches I could transfer to are sold out anyway. I will probably still get a train back the next day, I think it'll all be over by then.

A different strike affects Clare's plans to go to the theatre this weekend too, but her friend's husband is going to drive them up to London so they'll be OK. We fully support the striking workers and blame the government!

Octopus eco-hour went well yesterday. I think. I was out for all of it in the end. T1 has joined a football club and I had to take him along to his first session. I was stood in the freezing watching him play, while Clare and T2 sat here in the dark playing a card game he got for his birthday. Our energy usage was good for yesterday, £4.92 for the whole day, one of my lowest for the week. It would be lower if it weren't so cold that the heating kicked in.

Busy at work again, fancy that! Too busy for a lunch break. And I'm in London tomorrow, can't think of a reason to get out of it, so got to book tickets etc now.

Upset T2 this morning when he found his christmas card design under a pile of stuff and we had missed the deadline to get christmas cards and a bauble made from it. He'd worked hard on this so we're seeing what we can do... No I probably still won't send any christmas cards.
