Blog2022 ≫ Looks like consistent savings on the electricity now

I'm hoping this is down to the new smart socket I fitted1 that is turning the XBox and the soundbar off overnight. My "wake up" electricity costs, the costs we have run up between midnight and 7am have been 85p, 84p, 88p the last three days. They've been up around a pound since the prices went up. I hope I can keep that discounted, though yesterday it was back up again. Wondering if I stayed up late and overruled the power down. I know I did last night. This is most obvious sign of a saving to me, though 10p is not the total saving in day, it would be more.

It would take about three months at this rate to pay off the cost of the socket that makes the saving. That's not even that bad.
