I braved the parkrun Saturday morning and it went OK. I was not fast, but I also didn't have to pull up with a coughing fit or anything. So three more runs to go to get my 100 t-shirt.

Folkestone parkrun results for event #353. Your time was 00:25:36.

Congratulations on completing your 97th parkrun and your 87th at Folkestone parkrun today. You finished in 84th place and were the 77th Male out of a field of 260 parkrunners and you came 13th in your age category VM50-54. Take a look at this week's full set of results on our website. Your PB at Folkestone parkrun remains 00:20:50. Your best time this year remains 00:21:36.

It felt a lot busier than only 260 people there.

I had been back to the Inn Doors the night before too, went in after work and stayed for three pints, it was very quiet. Going back further still, the day of work was busy but good. That issue I mentioned that I broke1 was fixed by the time of the 9.30 meeting to discuss the problem and we went through it "live" in the meeting and all was good. It either had a knock on effect or something else happened too that fixed another issue that I did not know where to begin with so all good. I was so confident in the meeting I said "just let me know about other issues, even if it doesn't seem my department and I'll see what I can do". Then of course there was another issue, so spent the afternoon looking at that one. It was a proper puzzler, a different area of the business, different tech, a system that we no longer work on and hadn't been changed for ages, but we found a satisfying solution to it. Might have been broken like this for years, but it's more likely some other part of the business made a small change that was now reflected in our mobile app. Anyway all good, we look like heroes for solving this, I hope.

I thought I was not going to get out in a timely fashion on the Friday, as Clare had an incident at work, and thought she'd have to do a late shift, but it all came good without her needing to stay.

Jumping about a bit in time, I went to get a new tyre for the beetle after parkrun. Had a lot of interest and compliments on the car, even in its scruffy state. That makes me feel good and I might even get it resprayed now.

After that to pick T1 up from sports club and take him and T2 into town where we met Clare, and bought new shoes. T1 is a size eight now and needed new trainers, and wanted football boots too. We said you'll grow out of them, there are possibly only two more school football sessions this year, so it's not worth it, but we agreed he could spend his own money on them. Then we had a lovely lunch in Sunshine bistro in Folkestone, we were only going to get a sandwich but had a sit down in there. I had an all day vegan breakfast, Clare and T1 had wraps and T2 had a burger.

I got rid of a couple of bags of charity shop stuff, but am still a bit overrun with things. Jumping back to parkrun again I must remember they are doing a clothing collection there next week so I will sort out a few things for that.

Saturday afternoon we went round to see some friends which was really nice. I have to do some research into our Humax box replacement as they are now in the same situation of wanting a similar device now they have cancelled Sky. When I work out what we should get they will get the same. I do quite like the solution of being able to record to USB direct from the satellite receiver built into our TV, but the EPG2 is just not as good as it would be on a dedicated box. We really miss series link.

Clare dropped me off a the Inn Doors after that. I only meant to stay for two but got into rounds and had four and went home again at half eight. Very nice, lots of fun, lots of music and gig discussion. Think I might have arranged to go to Suede in Brixton, but can't believe no-one else likes Billy Joel.

Today I have to go to the supermarket to collect our shopping, because I failed to check out the delivery. Then we need to pack T2 up for his residential trip this week. He has to take sleeping bag and pillow as well as changes of clothes. Even if we pack it all in, will he be able to pack it all again to come home?
