Have been watching some comic art auctions 1, some original art from pages of 2000ad and similar up for grabs. Some things I liked had very low bids on for a long time and I thought this might be interesting. But of course as it gets close the bidding has gone beyond my means. The cheapest one I'm still watching is art from a page of a Judge Dredd story from 1990 2 by Carlos Ezquerra. Carlos died four years ago today coincidentally. That page is the cheapest still available because it's not really that interesting. How about this drawing that became the cover of a Batman, also in the 1990s I think. Bidding is about to end and it's at $50,000...
I'm surprised that the original art for a front cover of The Eagle 3 from 1953 is cheaper than most of the 2000ad pages I was watching.
