Blog2022 ≫ My presentation went well

At least people at work were polite about it, and said it was quite funny. That is what I was going for, though I forgot to do a couple of the gags. It was meant to be a serious presentation though so probably for the best.

It went better than Liz Truss's interviews with local BBC stations anyway. I listened to four of them on the way home. Do they not realise that in the age of internets people can do this, and it is obvious she is not really answering questions about the broken country and just saying "gas bill isn't going up as much as it might"? She really couldn't answer the questions the radio people put to her.

Apart from the presentation my day was busy. Was in London, early start, got a parking space sort of and on the 6:30 train. Then hard work and five other meetings - in London, but not meetings in person, everyone one at my desk, head down, headphones on, I could have done the whole day more effectively from home yet again. Had a nice wrap for lunch from the usual place.

Went to Tesco on the way home, bought some Lord Of The Rings beer from Brewdog. Not seen that before, Clare was pleased. I had a look at the newspapers to see how they were all reporting the economic catastrophe, and the Daily Mail was the only one not to mention it, insane. Looked at my shares today, so far I have lost 15% on my investment over the last two years, nice! I have been up at various points, but the last few days they've properly crashed. I'm still infinitely up on if I had spent this money on commuting to London, that's where it originally came from. Then if I'd not made a loss in shares I'd have made full loss in spending it, probably down the pub. So I'm up, if you think about it.

Last episode of series four of Ghosts for us today. Can't believe Mary just left so suddenly like that.

Today in 2001 I went to two gigs on the same day! Neds Atomic Dustbin and The Darkness, I don't quite remember how at the moment. Maybe The Darkness were at Uncle Bobs Wedding Reception after the other gig.
