Blog2022 ≫ Astonishing budget

This is ridiculous, Kwasi Kwarteng has scrapped the top rate of tax. Yeah those earning more than £150k a year are the ones who most need help! And who earns more than £150k a year? Why step forward Kwasi Kwarteng! It feels like a joke budget, helping out the very rich, scrapping the cap on bankers bonuses.

It has made the value of the pound crash, and the shares too. That little detail probably shows I am not one of the worst affected by today's budget changes, it's a first world middle class problem to worry about these sort of things, it's a luxury to even be aware of them.

Very busy at work again and no let up next week either. But it's all good stuff!

Quiet night in, and tomorrow too. Clare working, couldn't go to the Inn Doors even if it was open. We might watch another Marvel movie while she is out. Then in the morning thing one1 has sports club and is meeting a friend for the afternoon so T2 and I are going down town to try and replace a lost school jumper, get some new trainers ready for his school residential trip and maybe have lunch together out somewhere. I bet he wants a Subway.

Clare is still not drinking this month, I have slipped slightly. Well I'm left in on my own without any supervision.

Still not feeling quite well enough for parkrun so will almost certainly give it another miss.
