Blog2022 ≫ Nice take on no fee Eurostar...

Lovely, I've got four eurostar tickets "in the wood", couldn't use them last year because of the covid, and couldn't get a refund, so I pushed them to a date this year. Just picked any date, as I can move them with no fee. Now I have confirmed dates in December when we want to use them, and there's "no fee", but it's an extra £200 to move them to new dates as all tickets are more expensive than when I booked them. I already paid about a hundred quid to move them from last year because prices had gone up then too. This trip is going to cost us a mint.

I said I was going to do "premium economy" and smash the free drinks, as it was only £10 more when I did it on my midlife eurotour, and I thought it would be nice for everyone, get brought food and drinks... but it's £45 more per person to do it this time, so sorry everyone!

We're going for one night in Brussels and two nights in Cologne, and then doing the long journey home, Cologned, to Brussels, to London, to hear. We were going to try and do the long journey on the way out, but the trains did not quite work out. It's all feeling a bit of a rush actually...

Watching Great British Bake Off now, then early to bed as I'm on a 6:30 train to London. Normally I go on a Thursday but this works out better as Clare has the day off. Thing two has his first guitar lesson tomorrow too, so he has to take his new guitar to school. I think he's slightly lost interest already, he's not as enthused about it in advanced as he might be.

Iron Maiden thirty-two years ago today.
