I did a pro-shop at Tesco yesterday. Got there half hour before closing for the bank holiday, it was very busy, but there were bargains to be had. Not just the regular yellow sticker stuff they have to get rid of before the bank holiday closure, but some secret staff coded stuff too. Some of the yellow stickers have a code on that means if you're staff, and if you buy it in the last half hour like this, then it's free. It's only odd stuff that won't keep that is marked up like this mostly, so salad that I could not use and did not buy. But I did get potatoes and mushrooms and even a ready meal to have for my lunch today. Now I have to cook something with all these ingredients. Think I'm going to make a hotpot, haven't done that for ages, though I then have to work out a) when we're going to eat it b) if they're actually going to eat it c) how to store it until then. Have I got enough pots for it and space in the freezer? I got quite a lot of veg actually I should make more than one thing. Hey maybe this ticks off my "batch cooking" todo task that I set myself.

Things to do, live up to date so might not have the things I mentioned in this post by the time you read it

I think I'm free of the covid symptoms now, cough is nearly gone, so hopefully back to running this week. Think we can say goodbye to the covid death graph again, though it looks to me the numbers are going up again. It's just being kept out of the news now by the queen's funeral.
