Blog ≫ 2022 ≫ No parkrun today
No parkrun today for me, because still ill. This cough is properly annoying, but bonus I didn't get up until quarter to ten today. I thought I was the first one up as it is quiet, but thing two is out of bed and down in the playroom on the Nintendo Switch. Possibly thing one is with him, they have a new enthusiasm for Mario Party and new courses on Mario Kart. Speaking of Mario, my exercise graph is going to be a shocker this week, I have not moved further than the school, mostly just been sat in my chair.
Normally thing one would be straight up and onto Fifa by now, but the XBox is still in the lounge, and the lounge is quiet. We actually watched some football together yesterday, highlights of a couple of the previous weeks games on Match Of The Day. It brought back all my bad decisions in Fantasy Premier League of that week.
Seems there is no football this weekend, and possibly there was no parkrun for anyone actually. That's now five in a row I've missed at Folkestone. I only need two more I think to get my hundred. A shout out and a free running shirt, quite a prize.
Friends in Fareham all went to the West Street Ale House last night. I wish I was there, I do miss them especially when they all get together. It's easier now as one more of them has moved back to Fareham now, so it's easier for them to get together and walk home.
Starting to make plans for thing two's residential trip. Also his guitar has arrived, so he'll be starting guitar lessons soon. See if he sticks at that longer than I did...
I ordered a Gorilla vinyl storage box1. Could not wait for pay day, which was my original plan. I've saved more than that by not having to go to London this week, I've probably saved more than that by just not going to the pub this week. When you take into account having to cancel our day out to Harry Potter World I'm well ahead of the game. Come pay day I will be properly back in the black following all the holiday expenses, even after I've bought the other things I have queued up. Maybe time to start thinking about next year's holiday. Don't know where we're going yet but it's going to be cheaper and have more waterslides... Anyway can update the todo list.
