Blog2022 ≫ Declutter!

Been trying to sell Clare's bike for a while, but she says hang on to it, she might ride it... She has never ridden it since I bought it, and it's cluttering up the shed. There was a call out on social media, we have someone from Ukraine staying with us, does anyone local have a spare ladies bike that they could use? So we've offloaded it there. It's a good bike, and I might have got a few quid back for it, but nice to see it go to a good cause #virtuesignalling.

I've also finally listed the sewing machine on Freecycle, and thrown away the garden water pump timer that I was never going to get round to hacking anything out of. If I want garden water on a timer, if this ever feels appropriate again, I will buy something new.

I still need to declutter more, get rid of some books and comics. Maybe even some records now! I have been going through my old LPs and there are some that I will never listen to again. Arab Strap, I should sell that one, it's rubbish.

I really want some solar panels now, so whatever I do make from selling anything should go into a solar panel fund. Some good shed / project / camping type deals here1 but I want to spend £20k on proper solar panels and batteries to take the house off grid. When do those premium bonds prizes get drawn?

Torrential rain overnight, and a little burst of it again this morning. Summer is over.

20k: Twenty kilometres, just over twelve miles.
