Blog2022 ≫ So much to unpack...

This is what they say when there is a simple statement or message that is actually concealing lots of little details, and also what I have started saying when I share a picture and it has lots of things in it I wish to mention - I might do an example below1. But we actually have lots to unpack after our big holiday. We have cases and bags of dirty washing and maybe a couple of souvenirs.

There is also much to unpack from twenty days of missed news. Mostly it's about energy bills isn't it, crikey.

I have twenty days of blog to catch up on, following our trip to Sorrento, via Rome, and also (for me at least) via London, Brussels, Cologne, Vienna, and Bratislava. We also took trips to Capri, Amalfi, Positano, and some other Italian town I can't recall, and I know my train stopped in Lille too. So that is seven countries on this, eight if you trip the UK.

I did keep some notes for the early part of the trip, when I was traveling solo, I dictated into the phone. But the latter half, nothing but photos. So most of Italy will never get the mention here that it deserves.

First however, aforementioned unpacking and washing, and a shopping delivery to receive, wanna to figure out why there is no internet here2.

There is also water falling from the sky to try and make sense of3.

Twenty-seven years ago today I was at Take That and twenty-eight years ago it was the Reading Festival, mostly for Red Hot Chili Peppers who I liked then.

When is our next holiday then?
