Blog2022 ≫ Lovely pre-birthday birthday

Lovely planned visitors and surprise visitors yesterday for a pre-birthday meal. Travel about now is pretty hairy, roads closed, train strikes, and then it can be a bit hot even if it all goes smoothly. So huge thanks to Mum and Dad, Kez and Rob, and bonus nephews for visiting yesterday. We all had a lovely meal in Sotirios in Folkestone, then a walk around the Harbour arm, and it was a good day for it too. Great weather. I have GIFTS waiting for me, going to save them for the actual day, though a couple of them I can have a good guess at what they are, being flat and twelve inches square. Jigsaws I'm guessing, maybe a calendar.

Rest of the birthday week is busying up... I am not quite ready for my big day out on Saturday, still got a few more arrangements to make. And then Clare tells me of the plans for the birthday day itself. She had booked a night in London for us and a meal and things, but that is thrown into disarray by the rail strike. So she has extended it to two nights in London so as not to miss out, better than cancelling it. I have to work on the Tuesday, so I could look good at work and really save a bit of travel time by going into the office Tuesday, instead of trying to run from here at 5pm, so going to do that. This means being in London most of this week. When am I going to get stuff done? Busy busy week!
