Blog2022 ≫ So tired

5am start today, with a thing that was going live and I needed to test it and monitor it. That all went smoothly, and this time I can claim overtime for it, which sounds good to me. Then a full day workshop on some new features that will be coming in. I think a lot of the same people in the workshop will be in similar things next week in Prague. That is coming round fast and I'm still not ready yet. I bought some toiletries today, so that is mostly me done isn't it?

I have been looking at washbags again, even though I have two. I have a Lifeventure one1 that I've had for maybe twenty years, and it's super light, and just what I want, but just quite big. I don't think they make one like it any more. It folds down, but also opens up and has a hook so you can hang it up. It's hung on the back of our bathroom door right now and it's where I keep my bathroom odds and ends. I always did use it for travelling, but as it is quite big the temptation is to fill it up. So can I get a smaller one to help me travel lighter? Next I bought a Jack Wolfskin one to replace it, and while it's fractionally lighter, there's not a lot in it, and it doesn't weigh any less. I only really need toothbrush and toothpaste and a mini deodorant usually, and then you have to put the toothpaste and deodorant in a plastic bag anyway if you're going on a plane, so I could get by with something really small. Maybe this one from Osprey2 bit I think it's probably about the same as the one I have right now. This one from Deuter looks smaller3 and it seems to be about 2/3 the weight so maybe. Muji do one4 which is not as leight as either of the previous, but then what about just this make-up brush holder5? It sounds like what I was thinking I was after, just room for three things, will keep it neat and clean in my bag. Can I fit things in there? Toothbrush and toothpaste definitely. Could maybe attach a hook or a loop to hang it up? Maybe is too extreme though.

I have had some inspiration from https://www.reddit.com/r/onebag but it's not moving as quickly as I'd like, I feel like I'm done with that forum already.

I'm in London tomorrow too, another full day, but a conference, so a bit difference. It's at a brewery, actually a place called The Brewery, Chiswell Street. I looked it up on the map and the map tells me I've been there before. Was probably FOWA or something. I hope there is a good lunch and some sort of swag that I can bring home as gifts for the boys.

Not sure if we're going to the beach now or not, I think I want to just go to bed.
