One of them has had a load of end of year tests, and they've turned out quite well. He's come second in the class in a couple of them. It's all going quite well. Then the other one had a "book look" today, where we could go in and look at the books and talk to the teacher. I did the last one and Clare was off today so she went in, and this new teacher is very pleased with him. He got a special award this week for all the extra homeworks he's done. All good!
Pay day in just over an hour, can't come soon enough. I already ordered a couple of things for my travels, following some tips from a new forum I found1. Everything seems to be on Reddit now, it's like Reddit is the internet. We had someone at my last job who was kind of my boss who came to us from Reddit. I remember him doing a talk at FOWA while he was still at Reddit, so I've been aware of it for quite a while, but not been a fan of it. Last time I really looked at it was when all those "meme stocks" were going on and a load of people made a load of money hyping worthless stocks. Stocks are doing very badly generally right now. Will I buy some more tomorrow while prices are so low? Not sure I have the spare.

Quoting myself there, but I pasted it in from a friends group in Signal. I found this from that Reddit forum, there's a lot of talk about these shorts, how they are the best but they're really expensive. It seems like it could be a bit of an internet influencer thing to me. That review above says they do not have all the features you would need but they are amazing anyway. I suspect the guy has been sent freebies. Anyway I read the rest of the site and while I like how that reviewer wrote that, and I really liked his packing list, mostly he seems to be trying hard to be a lifestyle guru, which I don't like. I will make my own packing list though. Also I will get some new shorts, just not those. I want some more shorts, some shorts that I could run in (so light and stretchy) and also swim in (so lined) but also just wear if I just needed to. I think I have my normal walking around shorts sorted now but I need some shorts to wear on a boat. So when I get thrown off the boat or the boat capsizes or something I can swim to the shore and then I can walk up the beach and by the time I've walked up the beach the shorts are dry enough and ok enough for me to wear into a bar and I can reach into my secure pocket and I've still got my payment card in there. That's what I need, how do I search for that? And I need something like flip-flops.
Watched another Stranger Things, we've now watched beyond where we gave up last time. Thing one is enjoying it. Then watched a couple of Avoidance, a quite gentle new Romesh Ranganathan comedy. We like it.
