Blog2022 ≫ Are BBC trying to plant a false memory here?

OK, probably not deliberately, but in this story I remember the TV show Coupling1, I remember this Welsh character, but this actor they claim was in it has the wrong face. That character was played by Richard Coyle1 and not this guy, surely. Am I going mad? I guess the character I remember was replaced by someone similar later on. I think it's confusing and wrong of the BBC not to mention this. That story is embiggening the part of an actor no-one has heard of to make the story seem better. It's like when that pub landlord claimed to be in Eastenders.

Man I had a big day of running yesterday. 21km in the end. I'm thinking of taking a proper rest day today, but as Clare has gone to pump class I might have to go into town to collect the car. Also we're probably going swimming this afternoon so will not be fully restful.

Enjoyed Eurovision last night. Seems about the right result, though not quite what any of us predicted. I thought Norway would do better. The top five looked like this:

  1. Ukraine - Kalush Orchestra: Stefania
  2. UK - Sam Ryder: Space Man
  3. Spain - Chanel: SloMo
  4. Sweden - Cordelia Jakobs; Hold Me Closer
  5. Serbia - Konstrakta: In Corpore Sano

My prediction beforehand was

  1. Ukraine
  2. Sweden
  3. UK
  4. Norway

I only went with top four, as we would have said top three but Ukraine were obviously going to win.

Thing one said Ukraine, Estonia, Moldova, and thing two said Ukraine, Finland, Moldova. They both stayed up to watch all the songs but then caught up with the voting and results this morning.
