Blog2022 ≫ The Great Escape is happening

I just booked that sleeper train from Vienna to Rome, so my great mid-life crisis tour is definitely happening. I arrive in Rome a few hours before Clare and the boys. Now I just have to figure out how to get to Vienna, and where to stay along the way. At least my final leg is sorted, and should be comfortable. I have a private cabin with my own shower, so will hopefully arrive reasonably refreshed.

The replacement tumble dryer arrived today. Nearly as exciting as a holiday. It is app controlled, but Clare doesn't know this yet. It could be months before she figures it out. Even if we don't use app control for it1, or get it to ping me when it has completed a cycle2, I can connect to it from my phone and find out how many times it has been used and what it has cost me and so on.

Got a nice long weekend starting now, and then a run of short work weeks.
