Trooli are sending a contractor out tomorrow to try and clear the duct, so they can run the super fast fibre to our house. It's a different team to the one that would actually fit it up to the house, so I won't be up and running tomorrow. I guess if they can't clear this blockage to run the fibre then it's all off anyway.

I'm sat here thinking of projects I can do on my days off, which mostly gets me thinking about more stuff I should buy. I think I have enough already to keep me busy, I have a new smoke alarm to fit, a load of paint and some shelving system type things that are probably going in thing one's room. I also have some new remote buttons, that don't really take a lot of setting up, but one of them is going in thing two's room to work his lights and his blinds from bed. But I'm still thinking of new things to buy... so what about a motorised TV wall mount1? I don't think I could even fit that myself. So what about a smart remote controlled door lock1? I do really want this, but I'm wary of the bad reviews. I could just about get away with sneaking it into the house I think, if I fitted it on one day and was there to open the door when Clare got home. But I would never live it down if it failed and we were locked out.

Today in 2010 we were at the Royal Albert Hall for the Suede reunion charity gig, and today in 1991 I was in Poole for Megadeth. That's only thirty one years ago, it's fine. They were supported that day by Alice In Chains and The Almighty. The singer from The Almighty is appearing at Dover Booking Hall soon, and I might go. I expect he hasn't aged since then like I haven't.

One more day of work, then a weekend, then a few days off, then pay day, when I will be buying all the stuff...
