Being on-call has gone ok so far. One day and night done, and I did not get a call. I did peek in a couple of times to see if anything looked like going wrong, but all good so far.
Saw Frank Black of the Pixies twenty-six years ago today. They're playing dates again this Summer2, but also nephew J tells me Suede are playing Victorious Festival in Portsmouth. It's when we're on holiday, but the lineup looks ok. Paolo Nutini seems an odd choice of headliner, but also Sam Fender, and Stereophonics. It is all a bit mum-rock at the top of the bill. Other acts (in the order they're listed by the BBC) are Anne-Marie, Bastille, The Libertines and Primal Scream, Inhaler, White Lies, Suede, Ocean Colour Scene, Editors, Amy McDonald, Turin Brakes and The Subways, Rosie Jones, Suzi Ruffell, Katherine Ryan, Joel Dommett, Russell Kane, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Sugababes, The Wombats, James, Declan McKenna and Self Esteem. Most of them I've heard of!
Still counting down the hours until my chair arrives, and now until the electrician comes to do an exciting wiring job. Well I can't count down the hours until the electrician does his magic as I don't even know what day he's coming to size it up, that's about a week away. The chair however is approximately sixty-four hours away. It's sure to be a disappointment, I have built it up too much.

Speaking of building it up, I must investigate some parts to pimp it with. Can I fit these usb sockets that are meant for a car dashboard3? No, much much better4.
