I see the tories have changed tack again from "there were no parties" to "I wasn't at the parties" to "I didn't know they were parties" to "I didn't know parties were not allowed" to "It's only a few parties"... Yes war in Ukraine is more important than this but if the prime minister and the government can't be relied on to tell the truth that's important too. Boris Johnson must go.
I completed the push-ups challenge for January yesterday, and so did Clare (just before me). That's 2022 push-ups this month. We're looking for one to do next month now. Well Clare is looking and I'm saying "hmm"...
I've done some more travel research, Looks like I can get go London -> Vienna -> Rome on interesting trains and interesting routes, including very reasonable sounding sleeper trains with a private shower for not much money. It's definitely going to happen.
I must remember I already have some Eurostar tickets in the wood. Think I booked new trips for February half term, which we cannot actually use, so I have to move them to another time. A weekend trip for us all in late spring maybe.
OK on to actual runuary, I was up a bit early and did the 5km before breakfast on the treadmill again. Actually did 6km as I forgot to start my watch and didn't count the first kilometre. Only five more days to go, of that, and of dryanuary too.
I did my first Wordle1 yesterday, and solved it again today. It is as good as everyone says. I'm doing a French copy of if too2, I got yesterday's, but not today's yet. Ah yeah just got it, not a word I know.
Loads of military helicopters flying over here through the day and the night, flying very low, making a lot of noise. It's still going on now but it was really loud in the night, kept me awake. This is what they're saying3. There's an official page here4 that says:
