Blog2022 ≫ Runuary day fifteen

Back to Parkrun and it went well. I got up early, cycled there and had quite a good run:

Congratulations on completing your 69th parkrun and your 62nd at Folkestone parkrun today. You finished in 51st place and were the 42nd Male out of a field of 298 parkrunners and you came 6th in your age category VM45-49. Take a look at this week's full set of results on our website. Your PB at Folkestone parkrun remains 00:20:50. Congratulations on your fastest time this year.

Crikey I slip into the next age band in six months...

Cycled back and then went to Tesco to get food for the weekend. I got pizza for the boys, and burgers for Sunday, and burgers for me and a bargain sweet and sour ready meal for the Saturday night. Also the alcohol-free Guiness was back in stock! It's been hard to find. They withdrew it soon after launch because of an issue, but now it's available again, and good to hear it is all vegan (actually all "at home" Guiness is). So I have a very fully stocked fridge right now, most of it is dryanuary treats too.

After lunch we got the bus into Hythe. I could not convince the boys to walk both ways. We played in the park and went to the Nutmeg Cafe and then walked back, in time for showers, a little gaming, and then the last two episodes of Marvel's Hawkeye on the Disney Plus.

I had a load of fun deliveries today too, some coffee from canterbury, even more alcohol free beers from Brewdog (though I found I could not drink the special charity ones, the main reason for the order) and our new heated drying rack. It's slightly underwelming really, not quite as exciting a purchase as it might be, but the clothes did dry.

I did some coding too, working on an app to run the pushup challenge for us. It is fairly futile as my audience will be determined to find fault with it and not use it. It keeps my hand in though.

Clare on lates again. My IKEA chair still not available.

Guessing 50 cups of coffee from my espresso machine1 probably comes to £14.64 a cup (including actual coffee and now servicing1 so not the 'leccy).

dryanuary: Not drinking for the month of January.
