With the new "omicron" variant of coronavirus sounding a bit scary and the rules changing on travel it looks like our pre-christmas trip to Zurich is off. I'm getting confusing messages, both that if I don't pay the balance tomorrow it will be cancelled, and that I cannot cancel the trip online. I've only paid £150 deposit, but it would be nice not to lose that too. The downsides of this cancellation are huge disappointment for the family, it's going to be hard to find anything christmassy we can do now. The upsides are that my conscience is clear again over the flying thing.
Should I add the money I saved to my (entirely imaginary) electric car budget? Clare is really insistent now that I get another vehicle. I don't want a car at all, if I really had to get one (another one of course) then it has to be super eco, so does that mean an electric car? I want something electric, I have to get something more to give lifts than to actually drive me around anywhere, so how about this one 1?
My auctions are doing well now, over £120 and still two days to go. And I have more stuff to sell!
I did also list the teepee that we bought for thing two for christmas last year that he has not really played with, but have taken it down again after he changed his mind.
Not really achieved much this weekend. I have genuinely looked at electric cars. I have got the LEDs in thing two's room back online and done a bit of cleaning and tidying. Also watched A LOT of Beatles, about half of that amazing new documentary that's on the Disney Plus channel. Very impressive and so good to actually see the songs being created.
