Electrician is here to add two new sockets and fix one that has never worked. Very excited about this, these jobs will be imperceptable when they are done, but I will know that I now have things plugged directly into the wall and no hidden trailing extension lead round the study and one of the bedrooms.
Work is busy-ish, but different this week. We can't deploy anything so are doing maintenance type tasks. Both boys are out right now, thing two as planned at a friend's and back soon, thing one a bonus day out collected by Grandpa. He'll be collecting the other one later and taking them to Nandos, so I'd better put their tea in the freezer! Clare is on a 5-2 diet day so I'll be cooking just for me.
We were at a charity fundraiser with Bruce Forsyth this day in 2003. He was performing as part of it, we did not go with him. It as a proper star studded affair, details on here somewhere, also Ian McKellen and Ross Noble and Richard O'Brien and Penelope Wilton and lots more.
Twenty-six years ago today if I was at Menswear then I could not have been at Kula Shaker on the same day. I have the Menswear poster / flyer thing so that date is likely right, but there's a Kula Shaker gig at Reading Alleycat about now too. I got a seven inch single signed.
Speaking of famous people though the nephew was on The Chase on TV yesterday! He performed really well but did not win money unfortunately. He was unlucky. Of course I knew the answers to the two that knocked him out, but would I have performed otherwise as well under presssure as he did? I think not.
Stonks are going really well at the moment, mostly it is Tesla going crazy again. There's lots of money being made in the crypto too right now but I cashed most of that in and only have about £300 in there. Ethereum is the one, it's going up and up and has now bypassed the point where I cashed in.
I don't think the electrician even turned all the power off, so I can still post this and go back to work.
