Blog2021 ≫ Did very little with my free day

After letting myself back in after locking myself out, I charged the battery for the beetle. Will try that in a minute. Then I mostly sat about. I put up a shelf that no-one has noticed yet, and I added a new remote control in the lounge, so I can keep one on my side of the sofa. I couldn't be bothered to head back into Folkestone, so walked to the Potting Shed instead and had a nice sit with a couple of pints.

Last night we watched Spiderman Into The Spidervers again, then Bake Off Extra Slice and then some Simon And Garfunkel documentary. This morning Clare is at pump, the boys are reluctantly doing homework and revision, I'm unpacking the shopping and writing this, and then we're off to Canterbury again.

Twenty-four years ago we went to see Strangelove, and then I think this was the night we went to some odd nightclub after, and I banged my elbow against something, and it swelled up like a balloon. There used to be pictures of this, long lost now though.

I wonder if I should work the UK back into this chart below. We are eighth in the coronavirus death chart, with 137,564, and over eight million cases in total. Only Italy has done nearly as badly as us for the size of population. And only nearly.
