No petrol available, no updates, that's how it goes sorry. No not really just been busy. There is still no petrol. Nothing says "there's no need to panic everything is norma" like sending in the army, eh?

Saturday morning there were big old queues around Tesco, all for the petrol, they were running low then. I did my shopping, got to the checkout, realised I was still in my running gear and had no way to pay, so had to come back in the afternoon. By the time I got back there after swimming, the petrol station was closed.

Sunday morning I was up at 5:15 to get down to Hythe Green for the school boot fair. In the morning! It was dark, I only just twigged before I went to bed that I'd probably need bike lights to get down there, so put them on charge. I was the first one there and thought maybe I'd got the day wrong, but then other started arriving. It was a success, quite good weather, and a steady trickle of traders and punters. I was waving cars into position for the first four hours and then did some litter picking after that. Had a look round but didn't buy anything. I think it raised two grand for the school so that's great.

I'm not pleased with the on site caterers Marsh Mobile Catering. The deal usually is with these at boot fairs someone gets in touch, says if they can have exclusive rights they'll give you a cut. Last time they gave us about £200, all good. This time these guys gave us £50 said it's all they could spare and is the normal rate. They brought three vans and two cars with them, if we'd just taken the norma rate for their three vans that would have been £45, plus the cars. They are on my shit list (not that I buy a lot from burger vans).

After this I went to Hythe Live festival, got some lunch and watched a few minutes of a band. Then home for a shower and an afternoon and early evening in the Inn Doors. A lovely time indeed, free drinks even.

This sounds good, our local train service being nationalised. The revolution stars here comrades.

In previous years around this week I was watching David Devant And His Spirit Wife, Fluffy, Longpigs, Magic Numbers, Frank Skinner, Longpigs, The Darkness and Neds Atomic Dustbin. Those last two were two gigs on the same day twenty years ago.

Ooh my new Habitat Radius furniture just arrived!
