Blog2021 ≫ Where did all the Nandos go?

Fitted a lot into the weekend I think. Friday night, Inn Doors, standard, was very nice. I did not stay too long, home to have tea and watch The Last Leg.

Saturday I did my usual runaround of the shops getting some food and drinks in for later, but first to drop thing two off at a party in Hawkinge. Then did my shopping, dropped it home, drove back to the party house, left the car there and RAN! It was a very very hot day, bit hot for this. Clare had already been out for her run so I knew what to expect. I ran round Hawkinge just for a bit of a change, and went the wrong way a bit, so ended up running back along a very busy road. Just about got back to the party in time to pick him up and come home. Then a quick lunch for me and out for swimming. Swimming is no problem to these guys now, they were doing lengths galore. It will be great if we can keep this up over the summer.

Quick trip back to the Inn Doors for an hour in the afternoon, very nice, then home so Clare could go out with a friend. Sounds like they had quite a swanky meal and expensive cocktails. It must have been a good night as she cancelled her pump class the next morning. She would not do this for a night out with me.

Yesterday we went to the cinema to see Black Widow, and it was good. It's the most serious of the Marvel movies so far I think, but not that serious. How did they manage to do all of those things while plummeting from the sky? We all liked it, even Clare, who has not seen any other of the Marvel movies I don't think. Then our plan was to go to Nandos, it's the main reason we went to Dover. And it was shut! No idea why. The boys were rude and ungrateful about our efforts and did not deserve us to make more effort for them but we did and drove to Ashford. And that one was shut too! It looks closed down to me. Not sure what is going on. We ended up at Frankie And Bennys, and after an initial "no we haven't got that and we haven't got that" which made us think it would be dreadfule, it was alright. All enjoyed it, and they took our discount card, so cheap too.

Work busy, but going well. The civil servant is doing a late shift, but not as late as before. It is the first day of all restrictions being off and nightclubs being open, it might actually be busy out and about.

I've been for a walk along the beach and it is beautiful out there again, calm and still and very hot. Coming over a bit cloudy now, but still hot, we're going for another walk before tea. Is there a storm on the way?

Man alive the shares have absolutely bombed today, and the cryptocurrencies the same. Good job it's pay day at the end of this week.

Also Parkrun is back this weekend! Going to be tricky, I have to drag the kids there, which means getting them to ride their bikes there, we will have to leave at about 7am.
