Blog โ‰ซ 2021 โ‰ซ Someone is fixing the beetle today

http://trans-porters.com texted me back yesterday, they're very busy, but can help me with the accelerator pedal today. He wants me to take it up there this morning, and I think he has nowhere to store it as he asked if it was taxed. I said it's ok to leave it on the street, it's parked on the street here. Now how to get it up there? I explained, work, school run, child care, and he said ok a bit later is ok. I think if I do take it at lunch I won't get it back today, but that's fine too.

I have a tip run booked too, got some big things to get rid of, the old broken gaming chair and the old car seat. Probably the old lawn mower too, there have been no takers for it on Freecycle. Freecycle has had a redesign though1 and that might be affecting it. Anyway that will be going in the metal recycling if it's not collected this week.

Thing one is back to school in theory on Monday. Last night he was suddenly ill again, with a tummy ache though. Hope it is unrelated, surely it is. He's almost awake now and says the pain is gone. He must be partly worried about exams he has next week, that his other classmates have done this week.

Thing two had swimming yesterday, and it went. I'm not sure it went that well. Again this is very hard for everyone, he's missed a year of this, and the swimming club were never that patient with kids who are not speeding up through the groups. There must be another year of parents trying to get their kids into the swimming lessons, but there are just not the vacancies until our year has moved up.

I was half planning to go to the Inn Doors last night, Thursday nights are becoming a new regular night. However with thing one being under the weather he wanted to sit and watch a programme with Clare that thing two did not, so he was going to sit in another room playing Mario Kart. So I stayed in and played with him. That's a great game that we always go back to.

Work very busy, but interesting. I got a nice credit in a big old presentation yesterday which was nice. And I think I created a new thing yesterday that will be useful, so going to present tha to the team next week.

I was at Glastonbury twenty-four years ago today, the super rainy one in 1997. Not as rainy as it has been here recently though.
