Kind of needed to go thing one's school today to pick up some books. Instead of waiting for Clare to come in I fired up the beetle and drove there at lunch. It started up on about the third attempt, it's pretty good after being sat for weeks unused. It's still missing an accelerator pedal but I'm getting used to it. I parked it on the drive when I got back and treated it to a bit of a wash. It needs another one, then I'll think about taking it to get fixed.
Also on the drive - and rusting slightly, of course I wasn't talking about the beetle - is the push along lawnmower. I advertised it on freecycle, no bites yet though.
Good day at work, a lot more talking than doing, but productive in its own way. I presented an idea I had and there weren't too many complaints. Got an email saying we should keep working from home for now if we can. Yeah I can. My new coffee cup and water bottle that I bought ready for the commute arrived today. I can still use them even though I don't have to take them on the train. If I wear them in a bit I won't look like such a newbie commuter when it comes around.
We all went to the Clarendon before tea, even thing one, though we drove there instead of walking. Got him some fresh air without having to hobble too far.
I finally finished Marvel 1602, quite a good ending.
