The country is not opening up again on the 21st of June then. It is extremely surprising to me that Boris Johnson's government would have got this wrong. We will put our bunting back in the cupboard for approximately the 20th of July then.

It's clear from the graphs that there is a little uptick again now in cases, though the UK figures have been very low for a while. My graphs on here have been the deaths, rather than cases, obviously hope those stay low in the UK. Anecdotally it is spreading again, Clare says there are cases at her work for the first time.

It's been too nice and sunny and I've been a bit busy over the weekend to post much here. Little jobs like cleaning and making chilli and arrabiata for the week, fetching shopping, cleaning the car, and even mowing the lawn. I gave up on my push along mower and bought a small electric one yesterday. The lawn looks equally awful, it is short and brown now. I still don't think I'm going to water it, it'll recover.

I did one run at the weekend. Went out Saturday morning, really planned to do a longer one and go via Hythe to Folkestone, I even took a bag with me to bring some shopping back. It was too hot though, and I stopped coming back past our place, after only 5k.

Enjoyed the football, a good start England beating Croatia. A bit of an odd one in Denmark v Norway with the collapse on the pitch. I bet Eriksen got his angiogram a bit quicker than someone I know who is still s in hospital waiting following a heart attack over a week ago.

Thing one is still recovering, but it's back to normal routines and a full week back at school for thing two. If he eventually gets out of bed.

One advantage of the dates being pushed back are the country is encouraged to work from home for another month, so our return to the office will be slowed down a bit too.
