Trying to go from Folkestone to Portsmouth with the kids and only being offered a price that seems too high. There's only about ten or twelve pounds in it, but I know if I had time to go to the station they could do this for me. We need to break the journey up. It's fifty quidish for me with my rail card (not young persons) and then I should be able to get two "kids for a quid" to accompany me, but on the Southeastern leg of the journey. So the kids still need another ticket for the final bit from London Waterloo. Maybe they are doing the right thing for me, and maybe it's no longer cheaper to break it up like this. Train tickets are complicated.
Three more days of school, only two for thing two, two tag days, and then a lovely break. Looking forward to it. Oh, got a pay day and bonus in there too.
Clare has her law exam today. She will not be a qualified barrister after this but she does need to pass this one. I'm sure it's a given so good luck lover. If she passes we're going to Luben to celebrate. If she doesn't I expect we're going to Luben to commiserate.
Essential Festival a quarter of a century ago today. Clare was there too though we had not met yet.
