We went to a restaurant! Spontaneously last night we decided to abandon our chilli plans and head to a restaurant. We we had delicious pasta and pizza, and then got 25% off the bill with Clare's new discount card. I had the penne arrabiata, yeah I know that is always my Monday night dinner, but this time I had it with vegan chicken added. Quite good, definitely more filling with that option.

While we were out we did a very brief shop, and let the boys choose some t-shirts. Of course they went for video game themed. It gave us some ideas for birthday presents though. As we'd gone there straight from school we were seeing him walk around in his school shoes, which we are not normally. He says they're too big and they fall off him, and we could see now, something has gone madly wrong. The shoes he is wearing are two sizes too big. There's no way we left a shoe shop with these originally, I can only think he has accidentally swapped shoes with someone at school, probably after PE. We didn't have time to look properly last night, we didn't immediately see good replacements. Today he's gone in with two pairs of thick socks on, at the weekend we're going back for more shopping.

We were watching Suede perform their second album Dog Man Star exactly ten years ago today, this means we were watching them perform their first album ten years ago yesterday! I remember TV's Richard Osman was at one of these, gigs whatever happened to him?1

My Garmin scraping has stopped working, so no exercise stats here for a few days. Have not run since the weekend anyway. Crazy rain at the moment. Nice yesterday in the day, but very heavy again overnight.

Not good news that the astra zeneca vaccine I had is rumoured to be less effective against the new variant of coronavirus.

Massive crashing of cryptocurrency prices, maybe I should be graphing those instead of these morbid stats. The lines would definitely point the other way, which would make a nice change.
