Blog2021 ≫ Hythe pub update

Walked to The Bell tonight just to see if they were open. They have a big carpark, spare land next to the pub, I thought it would be a prime opportunity for some sort of temporary affair for outside drinking. They have not done this, but, turns out they have a huge garden too. I never knew this. It was definitely operating, and not too busy. We have booked a table there this Friday after work, very exciting.

I've been having trouble trying to get my data out of Garmin so I can keep posting up my boring "66kg and 10,000 steps" type stuff. The existing export code I was using doesn't export my weight, so I investigated again and found this1. While it doesn't export weight data either, it is written in javascript and so it's easier for me to work on and get it to do what I want. In theory I can do it, but the original code doesn't quite seem to work. It did log me in once today and get data out, but now won't again.

I've had trouble with my work computer this evening too. I was hoping to finish a bit of work off while Clare and the boys watch Taskmaster on TV, but the laptop battery ran completely flat, and now it won't boot up again without crashing. This could be bad.

At least thing one is feeling better today.
