Blog2021 ≫ Bad run yesterday, better today

My running stats are not appearing here automatically any more. I think there's been some update on the Garmin website that have stopped it working. I'm still running though! Went out yesterday, as it was so nice, but it was a very last minute decision. I did the usual shopping collect in the morning, then a pay day graze around Tesco on top of that. I took thing one and we bought a lot of unneccessary treats, plus pizzas for tea. Then I took the boys round grandpa's house, cleaned the car and did housework. I ordered a beer delivery in the afternoon, and then decided to go for a run, not knowing quite how much time I had before the beer arrived. I got a stitch after about 2km and worried I was going to be too slow and miss my delivery, so just turned back. I don't know when I last got a stitch running, and I don't know when I did less than 5km.

This morning was better, I did a regular 5km to Hythe and back. It's very cold out there.

Today is a day of preparing meals for the week, and then can I really start thinking about a holiday? Clare suggested the boys and I go to Center Parcs in the Summer. It's not cheap to try and go in school holidays but it would be good.

5k: Five kilometres, just over three miles in old money.
