Clare has fixed holidays because of this new work training, so she has a set two week Summer holiday she has to take. And it's in June, not within the school holidays. So we can't go on holiday! At least not together. Her holiday is going to land just as the pubs reopen, so lucky her can spend those two weeks in the pub! We can take weekends away in that time, but the boys will have to be back for school... We can't take weekends away outside of this time because she has so much work to do at the weekend, and then going so early to bed on the Sunday because of having to be up at 5am on the Monday.
Wondering if we can take a longer holiday in the Summer, and Clare just join us for the Friday and Saturday maybe? Won't be the same, but maybe we can find a UK resort where the boys and I can spend all days in the pool (not Clare's favourite activity) it could work.
