Strange thing in the study, the remote control for the lights suddenly started turning the beer fridge on and off. How can that happen? They were not previously connected. It's a complicated chain of events but must be that

the beer fridge is plugged into the four-way Lidl extension lead
when I first set up the extension lead only one socket on it linked to the Google Home (I thought this was perhaps by design)
when I tried to link the three IKEA GU10s to the Phoscon app it didn't recognise the bulbs but it did find the Lidl sockets
when I thought I was linking the IKEA remote back to the bulbs it was really linking it to the extension lead

So some things are working OK, just not the things I expected.
