Coat on again, rain again, 5km round Hythe again.
I'm getting a bit bored of this now. Our dinner tonight is looking nice, it's the spaghetti bolognaise I made at the weekend, with some very convenient garlic ciabatta, but I would like to be out. Don't know why but I was thinking about Home Slice, and I'd like to be there, or some other hipster pizza place, and I'd like it to be buzzing with people. It's OK for it still to be a bit dark and a bit cold and a bit wet but I want there to be people about.
I fixed my Petzl head torch, it was fine all along. I was looking up the seemingly faulty battery pack 1 and the solution was there in a review:
UPDATE!!!!!!!!! Having phoned Petzl to complain about TWO duff batteries, the guy in Customer Support (Simon) has solved the problem. If you open the battery compartment and check that the lower right hand connection is properly proud - if not lever it out with a small screwdriver - this can often solve the problem. It did in my case! There seems to be a design issue with the CORE battery pack in that the +ve terminal is very prominent and if you insert it the wrong way round say, it compresses the lower right battery contact and the battery won’t necessarily work!
I posted earlier from my work laptop, I'm not sure the death toll was fully up to date:
