Ran round Folkestone Harbour and then back through Sandgate again. Got a phone call part way round, from an unknown number, but it stopped me for a minute. My run after that was a bit slower, I let my legs cool down I suppose while I was looking at the phone. Noticed a Whatsapp too that I had to respond to. Then I must remember to remove Whatsapp. Don't know what I can do, will messages people send me bounce back? Or will I just miss stuff? I guess this is what Facebook are relying on.
I am stopping using Whatsapp as the new terms say all data must be shared with the owner, Facebook. I don't use other facebook, and there's no need for them to own any of my data. More on the rule change here1, and what it means to you. Had a quick look around and settled on https://signal.org and coincidentally so had Ro, so we have coralled our other buddies, and we're now all in the same place again. We're stopping using Slack too, just so we're not too fragmented, and we now have one channel that all the friends are in. At least for a while. It worked well for video chat too, though It's not going to work on that Portal thing I bought Mum and Dad2, doh!
Day nine of Runuary, also obvs day nine of Dryanuary too. I did buy some wine yesterday, to be delivered towards the end of the month, something to look forward to.
