Blog2020 ≫ Went to London, came back

That really took no time at all to do the necessary "right to work" thing in the new London office today. We got the 7.27 train, which was running slightly slow but fine. Then a brisk walk from St Pancras to the office in Farringdon. The office is nice, free drinks and a pool table and things for when times are better. Then back home again on the 10.37 train and trying to set up accounts and things, which is going a little slowly.

I have updated my shopping list, moved a couple of things from todo to todone. This reminds me the actual todo over on the side there 👉 (or down there 👇 if you're on a mobile device) is more or less done. The study was tidied, the desk is gone, the big old TV is gone, it's even redecorated. It's not quite straight again now though as I moved the study out expecting an electrician to come round to fit a new socket. He didn't show so I'm going to call another one. I've had no luck with getting people in to do some work, that's the electrician, the plumber, and the carpenter all let me down.

I've not done any of the big important expensive ones yet, but I have just ordered new lighting for the study. I did move "phone contract" into done as I have been on hold to them and thought it was going to be sorted today, but no. Looks like I can get 10x the data and unlimited calls for £7 a month, that'll do!
