Took a detour in the rain yesterday and walked to The Potting Shed. It's open earlier than the Inn Doors and I thought I'd get some extra steps in. Had a couple of very nice beers in there including the Hythe Hops green hopped ale. It was quite quiet in there, just three other punters sat carefully round the edges of the room, but nice. Apparently they will be turning people away later, it's a small place. From there I walked in the rain again back to the Inn Doors. Quite busy here by this time, but with groups, and not my friends. I had one and headed home just as one friend was coming in. We made vague non commited plans to do an afternoon tour some point soon, maybe Margate, before my new job starts.
Was home again sensibly for dinner and to see the boys again, and we watched Great British Bake Off Extra Slice together.
A lot of rain in the night, very heavy, very noisy. Has stopped now, but still too wet for me to leave this old TV outside for the person who is collecting it. I will lug it into the hallway and I suppose help them into the car with it. I can't remember how heavy it is, I will find out in a bit!
Should be a peaceful afternoon, both boys are out, one at a birthday party and one to Flip Out.
Fifteen years ago this very day I was at The Bluetones at the Wedgewood Rooms.
