Blog2020 ≫ Second 10k of the week

Maybe this is my new distance1? Will make parkrun a breeze if it ever comes back if all my regular exercise is 10k instead of 5k. I did a similar route to last time, to the harbour and then round the town, though came back along the seafront again for the last bit. Garmin says that included my fastest kilometer, though I must have done better in the past as Strava says only it had my fastest 400m in there. Didn't feel fast bit breezy out there, but good to be all done by this time.

Clare has started doing a "couch to 10k" app, to help her build up from 5km to 10km. Just don't stop at 5km is my advice, try and run that far again without stopping. It is intimidating but it's just a mental barrier. If you can run for 2 minutes without stopping you can probably run for an hour. Maybe I should try and up my distance, though it will be harder when I start the new job.

Ro was showing of his new ring light2, it's the sort of thing people use when making videos for their make up channel on the youtube, he's using it to look his best on business calls. He shared a picture of him with a dark background, it looked like this though really:

5k: Five km, about three miles in old money.

10k: Ten km, about six miles to you. Sometimes talking about 10,000 steps though, an arbitrary daily step-count target.
