Blog2020 ≫ I messed up the shepherds pie

Hmm dinner semi-disaster yesterday. I made our now regular, now favourite dinner yesterday, a vegan shepherds pie. It's mostly in the slow cooker, then top with mash. I left the potatoes for too long before mashing them and then went weird and rubbery. We just about choked it down.

Pay day today and I feel strangely affluent. It's the first "full" pay day since March, rather than the discounted furlough pay. I'm back to full pay only because it's notice pay now, I'd still be on furlough pay if I was staying. Also I was expecting the cost of this laptop to come out of this month's pay, but no, they're generously taking it out of next month's pay which is going to be even better. I have treated myself to the missing issues of Marvel's 1602 series 1 and some new slippers 2. If the rest of the family are nice to me I might buy them some food or something.

Walked yesterday, to the library, got a stack of books for thing one. Did not run but think I will today, maybe another 10k. I have had some fruit already today though so that might give me a stitch if I go out too early. I would normally remember and not eat until I get back, but thing one was in a rush today and forgot to eat his fruit so I stepped up. Partly my fault he was running late as I was shopping for comics and slippers in his line of sight and he was mesmerised...

Gig anniversaries today are Beta Band and David Devant in 1997 and 1998. Still no idea where my big bag of old tickets went. I wonder if I search back through this blog, will there be any clues? Did I say at some point "I have thrown away the big old bag of tickets as I have now scanned them all in and put the individual tickets in..." where? Where? Where?

The presidential debate sounded chaotic, was far too late for us to have seen. I didn't sleep so well last night, feel I was awake a lot, but I woke up fine this morning.

10k: Ten km, just over six miles to you. Sometimes talking about 10,000 steps though, an arbitrary daily step count target.
