Blog2020 ≫ 1990s ISN'T RETRO

A vending machine came up locally1, too rich for me though, £250. I will keep watching it, you never know. It's not quite the type I'm after but might be good. It says "retro" and it's from the 1990s, shocking. 1990s is still futuristic.

Did a fairly spontaneous 10k run today, to Folkestone and back. Came back via the barracks and no sign of people loitering around outside it today. Lots more people inside than you used to see though, which makes sense.

Have already made tonight's tea, before I went for a run, so I'm in butt-sitting credit I think. Got leftovers of yesterday's curry for tea. It turned out quite well, pretty tasty, though it was hard to find how to actually use the base gravy. I just roasted some vegetables an added more spices and seasoning and chucked it all together. The bombay potato recipe was the best part2, we also had Indian snacks and rice.

Also, I'm not obsessed with buying police surplus gear or anything but I'm getting this fireproof face covering3. You can also buy handcuff keys and anti-dog spray there. I'm sure it will come in useful.

10k: Ten kilometres, just over six miles in old money. Sometimes talking about 10,000 steps though, an arbitrary daily step count target.
