Blog ā‰« 2020 ā‰« Weather still iffy but I did run

Opened the door for the run just as it started raining again. And it's windy. I turned around and started up a thirty minute programme on the treadmill, but then realised I was just being a wuss. I put my big boy pants on and ran along the seafront towards Hythe, into the wind and the rain. This was difficult and stupid so I cut back at the golf course onto the canal path, and carried on running through Hythe to Lidl, then turned around and back to Sainsbury to make it 5k. Got the bread and milk that we needed, and some toilet rolls that we didn't really but it seems foolish to turn down an opportunity to buy them. This will be the start of the hoarding and shortages again won't it.

I wonder if the new job support scheme will help many people out. Looks like companies still have to pay 2/3 of the wages for 1/3 of the work to qualify, whereas some companies might have got their employees to sign new contracts to say they can cut you to 1/3 of the hours and still just pay 1/3 of the pay. What's in it for them?

Sort of thinking of doing some more painting in the downstairs loo. I'm completely out of excuses, I have the masking tape now and I have the paint, I just need a bit of motivation.

I am making some changes on this website, I noticed a lot of my old content is on old urls and not being redirected to the new urls, since I made some changes at some point. So fixing that now.
