Blog2020 ≫ It is still hot

Man alive is this a week in a row of these record breaking temperatures? I'm sure it's all fine. Very hot again today, and no rain yet. Actually the cushions on the balcony were wet this morning, but neither of us heard the rain, so it can't have been the mighty storm we have been promised.

We did hear someone's alarm going off in the night though, twice. Very strange high pitched alarm at about 10pm, for five minutes, then the same again in the early hours. The one in the early hours did not wake Clare up, she thinks I dreamt it.

Going to the pub again tonight, this makes four nights in a row! Going with the whole family though so a) it's not as bad and b) it doesn't really count... Monday we went to The Ship, sat outside and played Lord Of The Rings top trumps. Tuesday we went to The Clarendon, sat outside, played top trumps again, and had a couple of much better beers. Yesterday we went to the garden of The Fountain, and played the same again. Slight variations each time, we are mixing several packs together. We've been quite creative with this time really. Tonight we off to The White Hart for dinner, and will sit out in their courtyard again, unless the rain comes.

Today thing one has been off on a bus adventure, just him and his cousin I dropped them at Etchinghill, they (eventually) got the bus from there to Folkestone, got lunch, got a bus to near Jim's house, went to see him, and from there they're supposedly getting a bus back to Etchinghill again. I have had updates along the way, it's mostly gone smoothly, a couple of missed busses, but no drama.

Thing two and I went to Brockhill and took a picnic. I enjoyed the walk round the lake, he quite enjoyed it. He was a bit frustrated by the park, he's a bit too big for it all now.

My redundancy has been accepted.

Ooh house like ours for sale down the road1 prices have gone up a bit since I last looked! We should sell up and retire somewhere cheaper.

Done some work on popbitch for the first time in months, I had an idea to fix something and have done a load of code tidying. Good to keep my hand in!

Did I say it's hot?
