Blog ≫ 2020 ≫ Starting to plan our not-staycation
A high of 20° again today, and Friday might be the hottest day of the year. Go summer! About time we had a summer holiday isn't it? I'm in two minds about calling it a staycation as we're definitely going to stay overnight somewhere other than home. So that just makes it a holiday doesn't it? Maybe two nights, maybe more, but I'm not saying which ones so you don't rob my house. We're looking at London, then after much flipping and flopping maybe a night or just a day in Warwick, and a night or a day or both in Oxford. I'd quite like to just holiday here at home and just have every meal including breakfast in local restaurants and cafes, but we need a bit more stimulation for the boys. Warwick Castle looks quite good, and museums in Oxford, then we can focus on just the Namco Arcade in London, which is all they really want to do...
Nothing from work for me today afaik, though there is a big meeting at the National Trust today on similar topics.
Twenty-five years ago today I was at Gosport Festival with Dodgy, Salad, Powder, and possibly SMASH. I got the feeling SMASH didn't really play and someone just told me that they split up just before this gig. And twenty-six years ago too I was at the same doo, though with the Wedding Present that time.
We're in danger of slipping out of this top ten. From tomorrow I will start ordering it by deaths instead.

Should be a busy day today, I've made two chillis, including a meat one, and have to finish off a shepherds pie for my tea. Then I've started changing the beds so the boys can use the sheets for den building, and then all the other housework has caught up too.
